VibeCheck rollout, security and data
VibeCheck, Maestro AI's coding agent visibility product, uploads each Claude Code, Codex and Cursor session from the engineer's machine. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, Maestro AI is SOC 2 Type II audited, and your data never trains AI. The app shows summaries, not transcripts.
Free for up to 5 engineers. No credit card.
Rolling it out
Deploy it to managed laptops with your MDM, or have each engineer run one install command. MDM rollout is on every plan.
- Adds a stop hook to Claude Code, Codex and Cursor (desktop agent), and starts a small background service.
- The hook nudges the service and returns. It never waits on the network, so agents don’t slow down.
- The service runs under launchd on macOS or systemd on Linux, and retries uploads if a laptop is offline.
- No Node, Python or Homebrew needed.
What leaves the laptop
- Each session's prompts, replies, tool calls and edits, minus bulk nothing reads, such as full copies of files the agent read.
- Session metadata: the engineer, repo, model and the token counts used to estimate cost.
- Raw session data is deleted automatically after a retention period once a session goes inactive.
Who can see what
- The app shows summaries, structured tags and counts, not raw transcripts.
- With private summaries on, only the engineer who owns a session sees its written summary. Admins still see cost, tags and correction counts.
- Team views show spend and kinds of work without ranking or peer comparison.
Questions
- How hard is it to roll VibeCheck out to the whole team?
- Not hard. Push it to every managed laptop through your MDM, or have each engineer run one install command, with no Node, Python or Homebrew needed. Sessions start syncing as they finish, and you can remove it the same way.
- Does VibeCheck store our source code?
- It stores each session's prompts, replies, tool calls and edits, which can include code the agent read or wrote, minus bulk nothing reads. The app shows summaries, not transcripts.
- Does our data train AI models?
- No. That is a contractual commitment.
- Can managers read engineers' sessions?
- They see summaries, not transcripts. With private summaries on, written summaries are visible only to the engineer who owns the session.
- Is Maestro AI audited?
- Yes. Maestro AI is SOC 2 Type II audited; the report is available in our Trust Center.
